SHARP Requirements

SHARP Basic Requirements
Be in a high hazard industry with a single, fixed worksite.
Have at least 1 year of operating history.
Have a "Days Away Restricted Time" (DART) rate and "Total Recordable Case" (TRC) rate below industry average.
Request a full service comprehensive safety & health visit & correct all the hazards found.
Implement & maintain a safety & health management system. The system must address the major elements of OSHA's Safety and Health program assessment worksheet (Form 33).
Agree to notify the Arkansas Department of Labor prior to making any changes in working conditions or work processes that might introduce new hazards into the workplace.

SHARP Gold Requirements
Be in a high hazard industry with a single, fixed worksite.
Have at least 1 year of operating history.
Have a "Days Away Restricted Time" (DART) rate and "Total Recordable Case" (TRC) rate below industry average.
Request a full service comprehensive safety & health visit & correct all the hazards found.
Implement & maintain a safety & health management system. The system must address the major elements of OSHA's Safety and Health program assessment worksheet (Form 33).
Score at least 2 on all of the Safety & Health Program Assessment worksheet.
Agree to notify the Arkansas Department of Labor prior to making any changes in working conditions or work processes that might introduce new hazards into the workplace.
Have at least 2 years of operating history.
No LTA (lost time accidents) for 2 years.
Be a SHARP company for 4 years.
Meet all SHARP Basic requirements.
Conduct & document internal quarterly surveys.
Maintain at least 2.5 on all of the safety & health program assessment worksheet for 5 years.

SHARP Diamond Requirements
Be in a high hazard industry with a single, fixed worksite.
Have at least 1 year of operating history.

Request a full service comprehensive safety & health visit & correct all the hazards found.

Score at least 2 on all of the Safety & Health Program Assessment worksheet.

Maintain a score of 3 on all of the safety & health program assessment worksheet for 2 years.
Conduct & document internal monthly surveys.
Be a GOLD LEVEL SHARP company for 3 years.
Have and maintain an active member on the SHARP Association.
Have a full time designated safety position.
Agree to serve as a mentor for a designated company.
Letter of recommendation from a non-SHARP company being mentored
